The Athens Mosque, also known as the Votanikos Mosque, stands in the Votanikos neighbourhood of the Greek capital. It is regarded as the first mosque built by the Greek state since the country's independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1833. Athens still has Ottoman-era buildings such as the Fethiye and Cizderiye mosques, but these are no longer permitted to be used as places of worship. The Votanikos mosque was financed solely with funds from the Greek state.

The project met with opposition from the Greek Orthodox Church and with civil protests. Until this mosque was built, Athens was described as the only European capital without one.

'Athens Mosque'), is a mosque in the Votanikos neighbourhood of Athens, Greece. It is the first official mosque in the Greek capital since the Greek War of Independence.
