The Great Mosque, also known as the Nizhny Novgorod Cathedral Mosque or the Mohammedan Mosque, stands in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, at Kazanskaya Embankment 6. It is situated beside Sennaya Square and the bus station that bears the same name. The building dates from 1913 and is protected as a federal cultural heritage site in Russia. It belongs to the city's Tatar community and is said to be able to hold up to 5,000 worshippers.
