The Al Haoua Mosque (al-Hawa) is a historic mosque in Tunis. It is also known as the Tawfiq Mosque, the name it bore under the Hafsids. Our record dates its construction to 1252, and it is a listed monument of Tunisia. According to the Arabic-language source, the mosque was built by Princess Atf, wife of the Hafsid sultan Abu Zakariya I, during the reign of her son, Sultan Abu Abdallah Muhammad al-Mustansir, in the middle of the 7th century AH (13th century CE). The record gives the year of construction as 1252. Under the Hafsids it was known as the Tawfiq Mosque.
