It stands midway between the Namira Mosque in Arafat and the Khayf Mosque in Mina, with Arafat lying to the east and Mina to the west of the area between them. According to the sources, the Prophet Muhammad halted beside the mosque's qibla during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
